What do Physiotherapists do?
The job of a physiotherapist is to assist the patient in returning to their normal physical function – whatever that may be.
It can involve treating a professional athlete to ensure a full and early return to competition or helping an elderly person to regain independence at home.
The skills a physiotherapist requires are as varied as the conditions they see.
At Fountain Square Physio we have a team that covers all possible conditions. There are therapists specialising in paediatrics to those used to treating professional footballers.
Amongst other conditions, we treat:
- Spinal pain
- Joint disease and injury
- Sports injuries
- Neurological conditions such as strokes and head injuries
- Chest condition
We work with you to identify the problem and provide a range of treatments designed to help you return to your former fitness levels as quickly as possible.
Whether you are suffering from joint problems, sprains, strains or muscle tears, we offer a range of solutions to aid your recovery and to prevent re-occurrence of the injury.
From a simple sprain through to a major rupture and even post-operative therapy, we can get you back to optimum fitness and participating in your sport again as quickly as possible.
