Alex has over 20 years of experience as a sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapist. He is also a specialist knee brace fitter for Ossur UK.
Having graduated from Brunel University in London, Alex initially worked at the world renowned Royal Brompton Hospital developing his knowledge in respiratory physiotherapy then continued on to Guy’s and St. Thomas’s NHS trust where he developed his sports and rehabilitation expertise.
Work in private clinics followed, together with national sports teams in the field of football and boxing.
After qualifying from Salford in 1999, Stuart gained experience within the health service, before joining Manchester City where he worked for 14 years gaining vast amounts of knowledge from treating and training academy players up to 1st team players.
His time at City has allowed him to develop his manual therapy skills and cover many post graduate training courses.
His reason for leaving was to get back to grass roots physiotherapy and allow him to manage his time, so he could spend more time with his growing family.
Sue has been qualified for 32 years and still exudes enthusiasm for her profession. Constantly updating and always keen to find the best techniques available to her patients.
Being a keen sportswoman and lover of the great outdoors, Sue has always been interested in the mechanics of movement, and takes an overall approach to treatment, which looks at causes, symptoms and prevention.
Helen qualified as a Physio in 2005 and initially started her career in the NHS gaining a variety of experience and working up to a Senior Extended Scope Practitioner role.
She went on to work with Manchester City FC with the boys’ academy and later as Lead Physio for Manchester City Women.
She currently works for the FA supporting the Women’s Lionesses under 23s squad alongside her role at Fountain Square.
Helen also provides physio led Pilates classes and 1 to 1 sessions at the practice.
She has a wealth of experience with all ages and abilities and has a strong passion for helping everyone achieve their goals.
Sarah qualified in 2008 at Salford University initially working at Manchester Royal Infirmary and St Mary’s Hospital for 8 years. During that time she gained experience in Musculoskeletal, Neurology, Cardiology, Paediatrics and Hydrotherapy.
Since then sarah has specialised in paediatrics through many years of specialised courses, NHS and private clinics. Sarah set up her paediatric physiotherapy practice in 2003 to satisfy her passion of working with children. This requires a very specialised approach to treatment focusing on treatment through play rather than direct instruction whilst maintaining the same long term goal of treatment and prevention.
Sarah has a special interest in adult musculoskeletal and sporting injuries driven by her life-long commitment to gymnastics, skiing and running. Sarah has an extensive range of therapeutic skills and has kept herself at the forefront of the latest professional thinking through attending workshops and courses on the most forward thinking treatment and rehabilitation concepts for both adults and paediatrics.
Graduating in 2019 from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc(Hons.) in Physiotherapy, Nicky had worked as an NHS Paramedic since 2009. In 2016, she obtained a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy from the Northern Institute of Massage and expanded her qualifications further in 2024 with a Foundation Acupuncture certification.
After a brief period working for the NHS, she transitioned to private practice, where she has enjoyed applying hands-on manual therapy, acupuncture, electrotherapy, cupping, and exercise to assist patients.
With a background in competitive sport, particularly middle distance and cross-country running, her inspiration to become a physiotherapist stems from personal experience. More recently, she has also become an avid rock climber, participating at a competitive level for several decades. Along with rock climbing, Nicky engages in various other sports, including several water sports, providing a deep understanding of sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Anthony re-trained as a massage therapist at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford and gained ITEC diplomas in sports massage, holistic massage (Swedish Massage) and On-site chair massage with further qualifications in sports injury, ultrasound, taping and strapping.
Anthony then decided to take the opportunity to compete for Great Britain on the para-cycling squad in 2012 where he obtained gold medals for his incredible efforts. Now Anthony has decided to retire from racing and rekindle his love of massage therapy.
Jon gained his PT qualification in 2010 and has always been interested in strength and conditioning due to playing sport at a high level in his youth.
Since gaining his qualification he has worked for the last 11 years in the largest gym in Europe using a multi-disciplined approach of cardio, stretching, free weights and nutrition advice meaning he can work with clients on a combination of core stability, posture, sports conditioning, relieving chronic pain and rehabilitation from injury.
Critically Jon builds an open and trusting relationship with his clients which allows for a tailormade workout to meet their personal goals.
Member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC957584). Jiang is a qualified doctor and consultant, trained in China. He has over 43 years in practice in acupuncture & Chinese medicine.
Broadly specialising in various aspects of medical conditions including mental health, digestive disorders, womens health, pain relief and ageing conditions.
Rebecca has been an Iyengar yoga student since 2003 and recognised very early on the beneficial effects it had on her both physically and mentally.
Rebecca was a GP in Stockport until 2016 and continues to work in education for GPs in the north west, where she focuses on leadership and resilience work.
Rebecca is a walker, gardener and skier, and recognises how well yoga supports other activities. She qualified as a level 1 yoga teacher in 2020, and is working towards her next level as a teacher.
Darel has been practicing Iyengar yoga for over 25 years and teaching since 2006.
Darel is an experienced level 2 teacher.
He teaches classes to beginners and improvers of all abilities and ages, with a style to make everyone feel at ease and able to progress to their true level
After a 20+ yr full time career in marketing, Gayle decided in 2013 that it was time for a change. She joined the FSP team in 2018 & makes sure the practice runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
